Not only is July UV Safety Month - it's also the time of the year when children and parents flock to the eye doctor to get check ups before the new school year.
Ophthalmologist offices and general physicians alike will be stocking up on appointment cards to make sure patients remember to get checked and receive important educational material.
UV Safety Tips:
- Wear sunglasses that block UVA and UVB rays
- Wear hats if you exercise outside or spend hours outdoors
- Remember that everyone is at risk for eye damage from the sun's rays - even kids. So start education and protection early.
