You can print your own shipping labels that are USPS compliant by using the postal service's click-n-ship.
Here are some Click-n-Ship Facts from the USPS:
To print a shipping label using Click-N-Ship, follow the steps below:
1. You must be registered online in order to print a Click-N-Ship label. Only labels with postage are available with the Click-N-Ship application – labels without postage can be printed utilizing the USPS Shipping Assistant application.
2. Click on Sign in and enter your User Name and Password information. Upon sign-in you will be positioned on the Click-N-Ship Label Information page where you can provide your Domestic or International address.
3. Enter the Label Information consisting of the return and delivery street name/number, city, state and ZIP Code™, weight, size, mailing date and the ZIP Code you are shipping from. You also have the option to insure the item up to $500 and use the Batch option (multiple labels using the same mailpiece weight, service option, and return information).
4. After all the label information has been entered, click on Continue> in the lower right-hand corner of the screen.
5. Select the service and postage option with which you would like to mail your item by clicking on the corresponding radio button. Click on Continue> in the lower right-hand corner of the screen.
6. If you are printing a label to a Domestic address, the Shipping Cart page will be displayed next. If you printing a label for an international address, the Customs Declarations page will be displayed next. From the Shipping Cart page, you will be able to view the information and the service options previously selected.
7. After reviewing the label information on the Shipping Cart page, click on Continue> in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. You will be asked for billing information. Simply enter the credit card information and cardholder information OR select a previously stored credit card, enter the CVV and click on “Continue.”
8. If you are a first-time user, you may see a pop-up screen instructing you to install Adobe Reader software. This download must be installed for the label to print.
9. A print page will be displayed and will show status bars as your label is created and sent to the printer. Do not use your browser's Back button from the print page.
10. Click on “Yes” if your label has printed successfully. If your label did not print successfully, click “No” and you will be given the option to Reprint or Cancel.
Regular postage applies. With Priority Mail® service, you receive free electronic Delivery Confirmation, and a reduced fee for Signature Confirmation. Delivery information is available with your paid online labels from your Shipping History or Track and Confirm.
